I go this email the other day and it almost made me cry. Why? Because I'm stuck in Florida and the show is in Tennessee only about 3 hours drive away from home. I've never wished so hard to be back home in my life before now.

The Madison Scouts Need Your Vote for Murfreesboro Order of Appearance

Starting this Saturday evening, you will have the chance to choose the lineup
for Drum Corps International’s show “DCI Masters of the Summer Music Games” in
Murfreesboro, Tenn., on July 29.

Here’s how it works. You log on to www.DCI.org and follow the link to the voting
area. You then vote for the corps in the order you want them to appear.

For instance, you vote to put Cavaliers or Phantom Regiment on first (either one
can go on first and the other can go on second!!)….then you put the Madison
Scouts on last. Why??? Save the best for last!

The line-up will be chosen completely by us, the fans, in this online poll.

Now remember, the voting starts this coming Saturday night after the show in San
Antonio, and it ends at 5 p.m. Central time on Wednesday, July 17.

Vote for the Madison Scouts to go on last in Murfreesboro.

Why the Madison Scouts? Well, back in the summer of 2001 I was in a the Southwind Drum and Bugle Corp. They are owned by the Scouts and so we support them as well as they support us. The Madison Scouts, for those who don't know, are one of a few of the all male corps out there. Anyway, most of those guys are so HOT and talented. All of us Southwind girls would just drool while we watched them...except for the color guard boys...they weren't available, if you know what I mean.

I only wish I could afford to fly up there for the day just to see the show. Oh cruel world!!! Why do you torture me so!!!!?!?!!?

*sigh*

On a different note:

Today went well. No one acted like a fool, except for the kids. We only had one group come in today and after they left, all of us lifeguards jumped in the pool and swam the length in only one breath...well, tried to. All of us could do it except for Michelle and Amanda. I did it four times. Afterwards, Michelle strapped me to the backboard and I floated on that for a while and then swam to the deep in while still strapped to it. It was a nice relaxing day at the pool...and I got paid too.
